Terms of Service
Last updated: March 15, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
linkraider ("we", "us", "our") is a social bookmarking platform operated by Paolo Sotgiu. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the linkraider website, application, browser extension, and all related services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account and use the Service. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If we learn that a user is under 16, we will promptly terminate their account and delete their personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
3. Account responsibilities
When you create an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information.
- Keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with anyone.
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe have been compromised.
4. User-generated content
Ownership
You retain full ownership of the content you submit to linkraider, including bookmarks, collections, tags, notes, and profile information ("Your Content"). We do not claim ownership over Your Content.
License to linkraider
By submitting content that you choose to make public, you grant linkraider a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, display, reproduce, distribute, and make available Your Content in connection with operating and promoting the Service. This includes displaying your public bookmarks and collections in trending feeds, discovery pages, the knowledge graph, search results, and other users' feeds.
This license exists only for the purpose of operating the Service and ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except where Your Content has been shared by other users (e.g., saved to their collections) prior to deletion.
Content you link to
linkraider stores URLs and automatically fetches publicly available metadata (titles, descriptions, favicons, Open Graph images) from the websites you bookmark. We do not claim any rights over the content of external websites. You are responsible for ensuring that the URLs you save do not violate the rights of third parties.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or the rights of others.
- Submit, share, or link to content that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, threatening, harassing, or sexually exploitative.
- Impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Distribute spam, phishing links, malware, or deceptive content.
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service beyond what is permitted by our API and rate limits.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its infrastructure, or other users' experience.
- Circumvent or manipulate trending scores, discovery rankings, or social features through artificial means (e.g., fake accounts, automated engagement).
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
6. Automated content and system accounts
To enrich the platform, linkraider automatically imports content from publicly available sources such as Hacker News and curated RSS feeds. This content is attributed to a system account ("linkraider") and is clearly identifiable as automatically imported.
Automatically imported content is sourced from public feeds and is provided for informational purposes. We do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of this content. If you believe that automatically imported content infringes your rights, please contact us using the details in Section 14.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, code, logos, and documentation, is owned by linkraider and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use the linkraider name, logo, or branding without our prior written consent.
We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that content on linkraider infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please contact us at the email address in Section 14 with a description of the alleged infringement.
8. Third-party links and services
linkraider is a bookmarking platform — the core functionality involves saving and organizing links to third-party websites. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party websites you bookmark or access through the Service.
Your interactions with third-party websites are governed by their respective terms and policies. We encourage you to review the terms of any website you visit.
9. Service availability and modifications
We strive to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.
We may also update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to the Service or other users, or if required by law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of the reason for termination, except where prohibited by law or where immediate action is necessary.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 4 (User-generated content), 11 (Disclaimers), 12 (Limitation of liability), and 13 (Governing law) survive termination.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors or bugs.
- Metadata fetched from external websites (titles, descriptions, images) will be accurate or up to date.
- Content submitted by other users or imported from public sources will be accurate, lawful, or appropriate.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, linkraider and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or fifty euros (EUR 50), whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Italian Republic, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Italy. If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you retain any mandatory consumer protection rights granted by the laws of your country of residence.
In accordance with Regulation (EU) No 524/2013, you may also submit a complaint through the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
